Each year, the interdisciplinary and forward-looking festival Pixxelpoint transforms parts of the Slovenian-Italian border region into a plural creative laboratory, where art, science and technology meet, converge and expand. The 26th edition, titled Resonating Realities in the Fourth Space, takes place from 13 to 23 November 2025 in Nova Gorica (Slovenia).
At the heart of Pixxelpoint 2025 lies the concept of the “Fourth Space” — a kind of speculative zone where human, machine and ecosystem relationships are re-tuned: a space of resonance rather than mere connectivity. As described by one of the curators, the Fourth Space is not simply the “third space” of art-science mediation, but a new realm where one can slow down, listen, and engage differently with technology, identity and environment.
The theme “Resonating Realities” indicates a shift: from isolated disciplines or media to vibrational fields of meaning, where things become intertwined. The festival asks: how can meaning be rebuilt in a fragmented world? How might humans, machines and ecosystems cooperate in a more sustainable and socially engaged matrix?
The festival combines immersive exhibitions, site-specific installations, performances, workshops, symposium, and pop-up events across multiple venues in Nova Gorica.
Over 60 artists and collectives from more than 30 countries are participating — engaging with media, environments, and hybrid forms. Some of the Croatian artists who will perform at the upcoming event are Monika Milas with her installation #000000, artists Petra Guljaš, Polina Komyagina and Nabil Almanssour with their VJ live set Pipedreams & Lushlakes, along with DJs and producers Kommoda, Morski (Marino Jurcan), and Djarma.
