This year’s winner of the Ambassador Award for DJ of the Year, the talented producer from Split and one of the most beloved DJs in the region, who continues to leave an ever-growing international mark, is preparing his all-night-long set at Zagreb’s Boogaloo.

With more than ten years of presence on the scene, DJ Jock has firmly positioned himself at the very top of the Croatian DJ and production scene. The Split-born talent, who began his career at underground parties, has since become an essential name on the world’s biggest festivals and club stages.

At just under 20 years of age, in 2012, Jock came under the wing of the Spanish techno king Cristian Varela and his Pornographic Recordings label, releasing the track “Chicas”. The release became one of the unofficial hits of the season, played by renowned DJs during peak-time moments at Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Exit, and Space Ibiza.
Jock’s work was also recognized by the legendary Umek, for whose label 1605 he released several notable tracks.
In 2015, Carl Cox highlighted Jock in an interview for Beatport as one of the artists whose time was yet to come. Cox can often be heard playing tracks by the Croatian DJ at major festivals around the world.

An absolute favorite of Carl Cox, the track “Raw Love” propelled the smiling Split-based producer into the top tier of global DJ stars. Released on the massive Intec label, owned by Cox, the track reached the Top 20 of Beatport’s global best-selling releases within just a few days.
Since then, Jock’s tracks have been supported worldwide by Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, Joseph Capriati, Sasha, Alan Fitzpatrick, Ilario Alicante, Jon Rundell, and Cristian Varela.
Although modest by nature, his talent and dedication have earned him numerous awards and recognitions. Voted by the audience, he has won the Ambassador Award for “Best DJ” four times and the Elector Award two years in a row.
His track “Tunnel”, released on Carl Cox’s label, was selected by the powerful Time Warp festival as the official video soundtrack. The respect he commands among global techno icons is further proven by the fact that Dave Clarke invited him to perform alongside him in Naples for the 20th anniversary of Clarke’s legendary techno anthem “Red 2.”
DJ Jock’s all-night-long sets are always highly anticipated, and the first in a long series, after a lengthy absence due to a knee injury, will take place this weekend, December 20, at Boogaloo.
