Next summer will pass without Forestland, organizers announced at the end of the year.

After a long 13 years, one of the few summer music festivals in continental Croatia held in Međimurje was staged for the last time in 2025. Organizers informed their visitors of the festival’s discontinuation with an emotional message:
“They say the number 13 is the lucky, or unlucky one. For thirteen years a fairy tale lasted of a handful of youngsters who couldn’t manage to go to the sea, so they started their own festival in their backyard. That was Forestland. Forestland will not be held in 2026. Forestland lives in our hearts, in the music and in the people who danced with us. Until new music, a new story, new dance and some new dawns, Forestland greets all of you – a handful of youngsters who long ago couldn’t go to the party, so they used fields, forests, and corn to make their own festival.“
Thousands of local and international visitors have attended the festival in the heart of Međimurje, which took place in the forest landscape of the Forestland park.
“Forestland lives in our hearts, in the music and in the people who danced with us. Time to say goodbye FORESTLAND. Until new music, a new story, new dance and some new dawns, Forestland greets all of you, a handful of youngsters who long ago couldn’t go to the party, so they used fields, forests and corn to make their own festival,” the organizers added.
