Brzeguze (literal English translation – fast booties), started as a passion project 8 years ago, with the aim of documenting carefree summer moments, and summer butts :D. In the past few years, the brand has developed into something much more than just photos on Instagram – they organize events, collaborate with artists, and design merch that was sent to Canada, North and South America, Great Britain, even though those people didn’t even know what the inscription meant, but ordered it specifically for the design.
As electronic music enthusiasts, they also organize clubbing events, such as one to be held this Friday, April 17 at Aquarius club Zagreb. The guest du jour is Demi Riquísimo, a London-based producer and DJ and a label boss at Semi Delicious records. He will grace the event with his acid and italo house sound, along with resident Mr.T and well-known local selector – IGZ.
In anticipation of their event, we asked Alma Drnovac, the co-founder of Brzeguze, her expectations and the idea behind the upcoming Friday gathering.
“Demi Riquisimo’s selection has a special story. His tracks came up in my Instagram music suggestions while I was making posts for our first events about 3 years ago (I especially liked the Paroche track), and then a friend sent me his set from the Lost Village festival, without knowing my liking for Demi. I already started to form the idea in my head that it would be great to do it in Zagreb someday“, she explained, adding that they are really looking forward to hearing how he’ll perform his own 3-hour extended set for the Zagreb audience.
“Demi is the British king of acid house, a top producer, and the owner of two labels. His tracks are played by almost the entire house elite“, Alma says, adding that he is joining after his month-long USA tour. “We dance all the time from 11pm to 5am. We are especially happy that people from Slovenia, Serbia, the Netherlands and all over Croatia have bought tickets for our party so far“, she added.
