SomaHut Festival @ Kontejner
May 9 @ 10:30 am - May 10 @ 10:00 pm

This year’s SomaHut Festival will take place on 9 and 10 May at KONTEJNER, bringing together international and local artists and somatic practitioners who will, through performances, workshops, “audience warm-ups”, and conversations with visitors, share the outcomes of their artistic processes, as well as the impulses and questions that guide their research.
The Saturday programme begins with the “Continuum Practice Workshop” led by Sylvain Méret, dance artist, movement and dance therapist, and in the afternoon there will be a workshop for children aged from 6 to 10 called “What are bones for” led by Marina Brajdić and Zrinka Šimičić. The evening will be filled with performances by Anja Bornšek, dance artist and somatic movement educator, “Shift into an unknown pause”, followed by “Volume of memory” by Tina Valentan, dance artist and trainee in expressive therapy at the Tamalpa Institute and lastly, “How can we watch?” by dance artist Ana Kljujev, a final-year undergraduate student of Contemporary Dance at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb.
On Sunday morning the “Continuum Practice Workshop” will continue and in the afternoon a discussion called “Somatic education and the somatic in education” will take place. The evening and ending of the festival will feature a performance by Mateo Babić, “Kontamina” and “Fluid and T” by Sylvain Méret.
The participation fee for the workshop “Continuum Practices” is €90, or €60 with an early registration discount (available until 30 April 2026).
All performance programmes are free of charge, with donations according to your possibilities.
