The Format C art organization and the Fubar team are organizing a series of free online glitch art workshops where participants will learn to catalyze and document digital errors using free software tools, guided by DIWO (Do-It-With-Others) and hacktivist principles.
The goal of this glitchLAB series—part of the biennial Fubar festival—is to collect, test, and archive the free software and scripting tools that have contributed to the development of the international glitch art scene. During the sessions, participants will learn to use the Git system and various open-source software, while critically examining multimedia infrastructures, the ethics of different usage licenses, and the possibilities for restoring obsolete software. Additional emphasis is placed on projects that have significantly advanced the conditions for multimedia experimentation.
Sessions will be held online through the end of 2026, taking place on the last Saturday of every month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from April 24 to December 31. No prior knowledge or preparation is required to participate. All workshops are free, and no registration is necessary.
