On August 15th, Collage arrives at Barbarella’s Discotheque—an iconic open-air club where the music regularly plays until sunrise and which has drawn crowds from around the globe for decades.

Leading the night is a man without whom techno wouldn’t sound the way it does today: Derrick May.

One of the original “Belleville Three,” founder of the cult label Transmat Records, and a pioneer of Detroit techno—Derrick May is not merely an electronic music legend; he is one of the architects who laid its very foundations.

Additional support comes from DJ Jock.

For years, he has been one of the strongest domestic names with an international reputation. His rise was marked by the support of Carl Cox, who championed him as one of the most promising techno producers and released his music on Intec Digital. Today, his productions are regularly supported and played in sets by Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Amelie Lens, and countless others.

He has been a fixture on the scene for nearly two decades and a long-time resident of the legendary Opium. Bsside opens the night with a set specially crafted for the occasion—rawer, faster, and more uncompromising than what the audience usually hears. His musical selection will lay a solid foundation for everything that follows.
