SEQUENCES
November 7 @ 11:00 pm - November 8 @ 5:00 am

One hand holds the fader, the other is already searching for the next track; between the two people behind the decks, a single glance is exchanged the moment a transition lands exactly where it’s supposed to. That is what a back-to-back set looks like when performed by DJs who are perfectly in sync—and on November 7th at Peti Kupe, two such DJs will be taking the helm. Kristian Beyer—better known globally as one half of the duo Âme—and Belgrade-based selector Kristijan Molnar are joining forces for the latest edition of the *Sequences* event series.
It is impossible to separate Beyer’s name from the history of contemporary electronic music. In 2000, alongside Frank Wiedemann, he founded the renowned project Âme—celebrated for numerous hits as well as the label Innervisions, which they run together with Dixon. Behind the decks, he is known for long, patiently constructed sets that drift between house, techno, and everything in between.
Also a favorite among the local crowd is Kristijan Molnar. Active on the scene for 20 years, his sets rarely stick to a single genre; in his hands, deep techno, leftfield disco, New York house, and dark wave coalesce into an unpredictable, cohesive whole. Beyond his performances on all the region’s major stages, he has also garnered attention for his *Gather Together* project.
It was, in fact, within the framework of that very project that Kristian and Kristijan have previously performed back-to-back. To discover what happens when Beyer’s penchant for marathon musical journeys meets Molnar’s restless, genre-defying selection, the best approach is to experience it live. When our Pepi Jogarde joins this duo, it’s clear what an exciting evening awaits us.
