One Drop Music will host British producer, DJ and composer James Boore, better known by the pseudonym Made by Pete, in the capital for the first time. His first guest appearance will take place on Friday, October 25, at the newly opened club Lift (Savska cesta 28), where he will be joined by two regional DJs, The HeroY from Novi Sad and Viktor from Zagreb. Tickets for the event are available through the Entrio system.
Born and raised in London, Made by Pete is a versatile producer known for releases on Crosstown Rebels, a label run by electronic music industry giant Damian Lazaus. Their collaboration began six years ago, and the first single ‘So Long’ with Jem Cook secured his breakthrough in the industry. Since then, he has released 3 singles and two EPs, and last year’s release ‘Horizon Red’ with Zoe Kypri brought him the recognition of world-renowned DJs and producers, and the studio stream slightly more than 15 million views. The same single was remixed by Damian Lazarus and Black Coffee, who performed it live at Madison Square Garden in New York with an orchestra. His career in music spans almost two decades, however, he gained worldwide popularity as a DJ a year ago when he got a residency at the iconic Blue Marlin club in Ibiza.
Viktor is an experienced producer known for his deep, afro, tech and melodic house sound. He released on numerous labels such as Rendr, Rawsome Deep, Kittball and Under Pressure, and recently he can often be heard at the events he organizes with his collective Atlantida. For seven years he was a resident DJ of Papaya, which was included among the top 10 best clubs in the world according to the prestigious DJ Mag ranking, and he performed at numerous famous festivals such as Ultra Europe, Hideout and Loveweek festival.
A longtime lover of music, The HeroY left his mark on the domestic and regional scene as a selector. He has shared the stage with numerous greats, such as Keinemusik, Joris Voorn, Darius Syrossian and many others, and has been the stage manager of Exit’s Dance Arena for the past seven years. In addition to residencies in Tesla in Zagreb and Trema in Novi Sad, he also performed in the cult club Pacha Ibiza. In his sets there are always a lot of unreleased tapes, so he tells everyone who comes not to turn on Shazam on Friday, but to enjoy the music.
The aforementioned producers, apart from their love for Ibiza, share a similar musical taste that includes house, deep house, melodic house and Afro house, currently the fastest growing genre of electronic music according to the results of the annual report of the International Music Summit.
