The Garden Productions, the team that stands behind the famous festival brand, is announcing an unexpected edition – A WINTER GARDEN. From December 8th to 12th, the famous ski resort of Obertauern in the Austrian Alps will host an exclusive boutique event for only 350 guests.
“The concept for A WINTER GARDEN has been around for some time. During last year’s visit to Obertauern, everything came together perfectly — the hotel, the top-notch infrastructure, the exceptional gastronomy, the wide ski slopes and the untouched nature. We knew right away that we had found the ideal place for a long-term story,” reveals the initiator of the project Nick Colgan.
The first edition of A WINTER GARDEN was conceived as an intimate boutique event exclusively for guests of the Obertauern by Valamar hotel. Of the 125 available rooms and suites, many have already been booked, with only 75 packages remaining.
“We wanted to create an experience that stands out – where everyone is under one roof, sharing every moment, day and night. That’s when the real magic happens – something that can’t be planned, but only felt,” adds Colgan.
Each day, guests will start with a rich breakfast, followed by exciting skiing on more than 100 kilometers of top-notch trails, scenic walks through snowy landscapes, or relaxing in the hotel’s spa and pool. Afternoons are reserved for après-ski gatherings, while evenings will bring a carefully selected music program.
South African virtuoso Guri Logic will delight guests with an intimate live performance by the fireplace in the hotel lounge before dinner, paving the way for colorful nights on the top floor, where the pop-up edition of the legendary Barbarella’s club will come to life. Four unforgettable club nights will bring the authentic spirit and creative energy that The Garden is known for.
The program brings together residents of The Garden, recognized international DJs and top regional performers who have been collaborating with the Garden team for years. A special place is occupied by Croatian brands – the Zagreb collectives Planet Srijeda, Dobar House and Late Check Out will take over the stage during three evenings, while long-term partners from the UK, Love International, will close the festival.
“Our goal is to provide the best of both worlds – well-known international names alongside outstanding local talent. That dynamic creates a special energy and balance,” Colgan points out.
Obertauern is ideally located for guests from Croatia and surrounding countries, just a four-hour drive from Zagreb. The festival has an international character, so guests are expected from all over Europe.
