As November comes to an end, the festive Christmas spirit takes over, marking the start of Advent. For years, Advent in Zagreb has been recognized across Europe and the world, with CNN recently including it on its list of the 22 best Christmas markets in the world for 2024. Preparations for the opening of Zagreb’s Advent started earlier this week, while the official opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 30. We’ve prepared a brief Advent guide with locations where you can enjoy the festive atmosphere alongside electronic music and art.
Electronic music on Zagreb’s Advent
Electronic music is available at four locations across Zagreb’s Advent: Fuliranje at Strossmayer Square, Caffe de Matoš at Ban Jelačić Square, Advent u Prolazu at Ilica 14, and EU Advent at European Square. The program features smooth house and disco rhythms, and you can follow the organizers’ social media for updates on the schedule.

Zagreb’s Advent features two key art events: an exhibition of iconic caricatures at the Oto Reisinger House of Cartoons and the Art Zagreb contemporary art fair, showcasing local and international artists.

- Art Zagreb / The Meštrović Pavillion – Croatian Association of Fine Arts
- Art Zagreb is an international art fair dedicated to contemporary fine art, promoting the art market by featuring leading galleries and the “Cash & Carry” exhibition, which highlights students from the Academy of Fine Arts and young artists from HDLU. The fair presents a diverse range of artworks, including painting, photography, sculpture, and digital art, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists
