AlphaTheta has introduced OneLibrary support for VirtualDJ, the DJ software developed by Atomix Productions. The update allows VirtualDJ users to export playlists to a USB drive in the OneLibrary format and use them on compatible AlphaTheta hardware, including the CDJ-3000X, CDJ-1500X, XDJ-AZ, XDJ-AN, OPUS-QUAD and OMNIS-DUO.

Stephane Clavel, CEO of Atomix Productions, said: “DJs shouldn’t have to adapt to technology – technology should adapt to DJs. That’s why VirtualDJ has always prioritized openness and compatibility, enabling DJs to use any hardware, any format, and any workflow without friction. We welcome initiatives like OneLibrary that move the industry toward greater interoperability and simplicity.”
Launched in October 2025, OneLibrary is a unified music library format designed to make it easier for DJs to move between hardware and software from different manufacturers. By standardising playlists, Hot Cue points and other library data, the format helps maintain consistency across compatible systems.
The announcement comes amid AlphaTheta’s broader efforts to expand compatibility across its product range. Earlier this year, the company introduced Apple Music integration for the CDJ-3000X, while rekordbox and Serato DJ also gained Spotify support last year. To get the best performance from OneLibrary when using it with rekordbox, AlphaTheta recommend using the latest version of rekordbox (ver. 7 or later), which optimizes library management and synchronization functions for greater stability.
