This Friday, in a secluded cove on the island of Brač near the town of Bobovišće, Beachbox Beach Bar hosted another in a series of live DJ parties. A friendly couple from Hungary, with the help of their children and friends, runs this bar and organizes unforgettable parties every Friday, often featuring fire shows. The unique, hard-to-reach location, surrounded by nothing but forest and sea, where both the bar and the DJ booth are powered by a generator due to the lack of electricity, offers a one-of-a-kind experience and the feeling of being part of a tribe.
This week, Beachbox welcomed two young DJs: Mihály from Hungary and Mirta from Split. The evening kicked off with 21-year-old Mihály, who got the crowd dancing with a mix of minimal and tech house sounds. Despite his young age, he demonstrated great skill on the DJ mixer and maintained a lively and upbeat atmosphere on the dance floor. The island vibe was at its peak, with barefoot dancers showing no signs of slowing down.
Following Mihály, Mirta, a young DJ from Split, took over the DJ booth. She quickly lived up to her roots, ramping up the BPMs. Mirta delivered a fantastic set of over three hours, starting with hard groove, weaving in some trance elements, and finishing strong with pure techno. It was surprising to learn that this young DJ is just starting her career, but if she continues on this path, she has a bright future ahead of her.
The night concluded with a tribal atmosphere as the host, along with his son and a niece, put on a fire show, matching Mirta’s fast beats. It was another successful Friday in this beautiful cove, highlighted by the perfect youthful energy of these two DJs and the friendly atmosphere on the dance floor.
