Over the past week, regional and local media outlets have begun posting videos of the demolition of the Noa Beach Club, currently the most famous Croatian club according to global charts, as per DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs. After Sonus festival announced that it would not be held this year due to a lack of venue because of Noa, there have been speculations about it ever since. Croatian media have been following the site this week, but the club officially confirmed the closure yesterday via their social media channels.
According to the official statement from Noa Beach Club, the closure comes after institutional decisions, despite more than 10 years of work, investment, and international recognition. “Such an outcome was not our choice,” they stated. The full announcement is in their post below:
