Christopher Dimoff introduced Crowd Compass last week on an episode of Shark Tank. It’s a network-free GPS device designed for festivals and crowded events, helping groups stay connected when mobile phones and internet service fail.
The idea behind the device is to make it easier to find friends at festivals, concerts, or other large gatherings without using a phone or needing an internet connection.
The device displays group members as dots and allows users to share their location and send simple messages such as “help” or “find me at the meeting place.” Its battery lasts up to 24 hours, and it is currently available for purchase for around $100.
