BEEBOX, whose real name is Bruno Pavlić, is a techno DJ based in Rijeka, originally from Varaždin. While studying physics and mathematics in Rijeka, he discovered the local techno scene and was captivated by its raw energy, listening to pioneers like Ogi and Insolate. Later, he felt that same energy when he visited Berlin to experience its culture and scene, which has since become his go-to place.
“I believe music is much like science – it starts with discipline and motivation, and then it’s up to your desire and creativity to discover something new,” he says.
His DJ journey began in 2024, when a friend lent him his equipment. As he began mixing, his fascination with the craft grew stronger. Today, BEEBOX is a resident of the Rijeka-based collective Peak Time, where he also contributes to event planning and promotion. He has performed at clubs such as Manual and Crkva in Rijeka, as well as Lift Club Zrće and the Final Destination Festival in Lokve. With Peak Time, he has also co-organized several open-air parties in Rijeka and Pula.
Musically, BEEBOX explores hard, dark, and hypnotic sounds but also experiments with blending pop elements into his techno sets. Growing up, he was influenced by the music of Bowie, Queen, Lady Gaga, and Madonna, which continues to shape his eclectic approach today.
