This week we present to you BOSE, a 25-year-old DJ and founder of the Tech Grooves event series from Varaždin. Active on the scene since 2019, he has performed at and organized events all across Croatia.
His style is defined by a strong, energetic, and fast tech-house sound full of groove. He’s open to various music styles but says, “except for harder folk music and radio commercial stuff, because it annoys me.” BOSE enjoys both old and new sounds, and his BPM range usually goes from 128 to 134, depending on the timing of his set and the club’s vibe.
Building on his early organizational experience, he decided to start his own event series Tech Grooves to promote the scene with a focus on minimal, house, and tech-house in northwestern Croatia, where he comes from. Bringing together young people, they have so far organized events featuring guests such as Lea Dobričić, Yakka (Myuz collective), and Mike&Me.
The first official club appearance took place at Boogaloo, a special milestone since that was the place where he had spent countless nights as part of the audience. Since then, performances have followed in venues like Bard Varaždin, Forum Prelog, Arcus Graba Čakovec, Depo Zagreb, Lazareti Dubrovnik, Nautilus Koprivnica, Lift Zrće afterparties, Myway Varaždin, Soundfactory Zagreb, Burra Zrće Beach, Euphoria Zrće Beach, Lift Zagreb, Park Novi Marof, and Kaotik Čakovec.
A resident DJ at Burra on Zrće last season and at Moon in Nassfeld, BOSE’s sets have also been featured at Futurescope, Audience, Techno Workout, Rythmika, Vibe Events, Rejvnesansa, Petak je u srijedu, and Memento Underground. Appearances at the Sonus Festival, both official and unofficial afterparties, further solidified his presence on the scene. Other festival highlights include Sunset Festival, Techno Workout, Soderica Open Air in Koprivnica, Shelterfest, and Špancirfest.
Often sharing the decks in back-to-back (b2b) sessions with colleagues Looka and Steel, BOSE continues to bring infectious energy and groove wherever he plays.
