Paul van Dyk, the first artist to receive a Grammy Award nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/Electronic Album for his 2003 release Reflections, is a multi-award-winning artist who has earned accolades throughout his long career, including titles like “Man of the Year” (Mixmag) and “Leader of the Trance Genre” (Muzik Magazine). He has twice been named the world’s best DJ in DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” poll. His rich discography is a testament to why he remains at the top of the global electronic music scene.
Paul van Dyk’s legendary track “For An Angel,” celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is to trance what Marshall Jefferson’s “Move Your Body” is to house, or DJ Roland’s “Knights Of The Jaguar” is to techno – a timeless anthem that has stood the test of time. Originally released in 1994 on the album “45 RP,” the song initially didn’t gain much attention, but the 1998 remix, dedicated to Berlin’s E-Werk club, brought it global recognition, topping the UK Dance charts and becoming a certified gold classic. “For An Angel” preceded the commercial explosion of trance with its uplifting melodies and powerful synths, influencing an entire generation of producers. Growing up in East Germany, van Dyk discovered electronic music through radio broadcasts from West Berlin, igniting the passion that would later define his career.
Alongside Paul van Dyk, the club atmosphere will be warmed up by German trance duo Corti Organ, and Croatian trance & progressive DJ Damien will close the night in grand style.
Corti Organ is a German trance duo whose passion for music began at a young age. The two musicians met in high school and started composing music at just 16 years old. Inspired by the energy and dynamics of electronic music, their passion led them into the studio where they developed their own style. Since then, they’ve released several critically acclaimed albums, and despite their youth, they are considered one of the most promising talents on the trance scene. The duo has also received praise for their live performances, which captivate audiences internationally. Their distinctive sound and innovative approach to sound synchronization have allowed them to stand out in the industry.
