Start-up Tiny Vinyl has introduced a new format of four-inch singles designed to play on standard turntables at 33 RPM.
Each Tiny Vinyl is a fully functional, collectible record pressed using traditional methods. Despite its small size, it can hold up to four minutes of music per side, ideal for singles or exclusive releases.
The records are collectible by design. Every pressing run comes with a unique “TV number” printed both on the packaging and on the record itself, making authenticity easy to verify.
Sustainability is also at the heart of the project. Each disc is pressed on 100% bio-attributed vinyl, and because a Tiny Vinyl weighs just 15 grams (compared to around 140 grams for a standard LP), its compact size significantly reduces the environmental footprint of production, shipping, and storage. Simply put, being tiny makes it better for the planet.
Currently, the company has partnered with Target, which will carry releases from artists including The Rolling Stones, Doechii, Frank Sinatra, Lola Young, Gracie Abrams, and Mötley Crüe. Upcoming releases are expected from Britney Spears, Doja Cat, Black Sabbath, and Bruno Mars.
Each Tiny Vinyl retails for $14.99. While they are only available in the United States for now, the company plans to expand into the UK in the near future.
