SONIC festival is returning for its third edition, taking place in Dubrovnik’s Lazareti quarter today. This historic site, once a quarantine center for the Dubrovnik Republic, is now a venue for art and music events. Recognized for its cultural significance, Lazareti has been under UNESCO protection since 1994 as the only fully preserved quarantine building on the European Mediterranean.
The festival is scheduled for this weekend, August 16th and 17th at Komarda Beach, offering views of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The venue’s setting, paired with the sunsets, transitions into a night program at the Lazareti club.
This year’s lineup is headlined by Spanish DJ Paco Osuna, celebrated for his unique blend of techno and house. Osuna, the mastermind behind the Midshake Records label and the popular NOW HERE brand with a residency at Hï Ibiza. Also performing are Madrid-based DJ RENDHER, and MENE, a rising name in the DJ world. Local artists such as Neroa, Pablo Panda, Kali, Looka, MattButt & Meli, Bozzo, and Francescu will also be featured, providing a diverse range of sounds throughout the event.
The festival is split into two parts: a sunset stage at Komarda Beach and the night events at Lazareti. The organizers have planned an audio-visual experience, with projections enhancing the location’s unique atmosphere.
Tickets for the event are available through the Entrio system.
