DJ MAX and Ron Carroll Release “Turn It Up,” First Posthumous Single by the Late House Music Artist
A new single titled “Turn It Up” by DJ MAX and Ron Carroll has been released. The track represents one of the final studio recordings by Ron Carroll and marks his first posthumous release following his recent passing.

Ron Carroll was a long-time figure in the global house music community, known for his work as a DJ, producer, and vocalist. Often referred to as “The Minister of Sound,” he was recognized for his vocal performances on dance tracks such as “Lucky Star” with Superfunk, “Back Together” with Hardsoul, and “Wonderful World” with Axwell and Bob Sinclar.

Speaking about the collaboration and the timing of the release, DJ MAX said:
“I still can’t believe what happened. We recorded everything during the summer and scheduled this release for October, just before Amsterdam Dance Event, because I am organising an ADE 2025 Festival Party on October 25th to celebrate 29 years of my ‘Welcome To The Club’ radio show. The plan was to promote our new single in Amsterdam together and surprise the crowd with remixes that are scheduled for release after ADE.”

He added, “What can I say, Ron is still on our fliers and I don’t have words to describe my feelings right now. It will be a party where we will celebrate his life and our mutual love for House music. Entrance will be free so everyone can join us and enjoy.”
Reflecting on the collaboration, DJ MAX continued, “Single ‘Turn It Up’ meant to be the beginning of something much bigger and I am proud that I had privilege to be part of Ron’s exceptional life.”
The track, produced between studios in Chicago and Venice, is now available on all major streaming platforms as of October 17.
