Tomorrowland is coming to Asia for the first time, with China and Thailand set to host the world’s most attended electronic music festival – and for the first time, in its indoor edition.
Originally from Belgium, the festival is known for its spectacular stage design, powerful sound systems, and top-tier organization. This year, the Belgian edition is expected to welcome a total of 800,000 visitors over two weekends, starting in just 10 days.
After its summer edition, Tomorrowland will continue the party in Asia during winter, with two upcoming dates: one in Shanghai, China later this year, and another in Chonburi, Thailand in the winter of 2026.
The Asian debut will take place on November 22 in Shanghai at the futuristic Hero Dome, where a visual spectacle is expected. Though in a more intimate setting with a capacity of 5,000 people, Hero Dome is one of the city’s newest multi-purpose venues, designed for cross-media performances. The lineup remains under wraps until September, but organizers promise exclusive performances by artists from both China and around the world.
The Thailand edition is scheduled for December 2026 (exact date to be confirmed) in Chonburi, as announced by the Thai Prime Minister, highlighting the significance of hosting such a major global festival in the country. Details about the venue and lineup have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to prominently feature elements of Thai culture.
