The cult duo Dresden brings their euphoric unpredictability to Peti Kupe this Saturday. Ivan Smagghe and Manfredas are performing as part of a collaboration between the Planet Srijeda and Sequences parties, joined by local hosts Felver and Antonio Zuza.

“A gravitational anomaly that bends the usual paths of dance music.” That’s how people describe the magnetic field generated by Ivan Smagghe and Manfredas, better known as the duo Dresden. This same kind of anomaly has also sparked a collaboration between one of the most refined local club nights, Planet Srijeda, and the popular Sequences night at Peti Kupe. The first edition of their joint event takes place on Saturday, October 18, with none other than the French-Lithuanian duo Dresden as guests.
The two met over a decade ago at a party in Vilnius, where Manfredas was a resident DJ and handed Ivan a USB that led to the creation of the label Les Disques De La Mort. Their chemistry deepened during the pandemic, and Dresden was officially born in 2021 during a set at Opium Vilnius.
Since that debut, the duo has cultivated a sound that moves without a fixed orbit, weaving new music and dusty echoes through their unpredictable, all-night performances. Their sets unfold like long stories – irregular yet deliberate, textured yet spacious. There’s no fixed entry point, only gradual immersion: melodies that induce trance, post-punk basslines, proto-techno spirits, and euphoric oddities appearing in unexpected combinations.

Who better to complement such combinations than Felver and Antonio Zuza, the faces of Planet Srijeda and Peti Kupe. As creators of some of the finest local programs, they’ll bridge the local scene and Dresden’s sound through their fluid sets.
Tickets for the event are available here.
