Rhythmic Beatz Records presents RBR007: DKTech – Society Collapse XMAS Edition, a hardgroove and hard techno edition designed as a concrete DJ tool for the underground floor. At the center is the original “Society Collapse”, a fast 144 BPM track with rolling percussion, tight low end, and a lead motif. The title and “XMAS edition” frame are deliberately ironic; the focus is on the pressure, movement, and atmosphere of a late-night rave rather than the seasonal mood.
“Society Collapse was created in several stages, from the first sketches to the final master. I wanted to create an album that is brutally functional on set, yet carries a sense of tense reality – that moment when everything seems stable, but underneath the surface is breaking. Built on a tribal sound, a deep kick/bass and a slightly eerie hook permeated with distorted voices, the original mix sounds like a rave broadcast from a city that has already collapsed“, said DKTech about his album.
Along with the original comes five remixes from some of the best in the world that expand the concept into different functions within the set.
“The name is not a literal comment; it’s more of a picture. Too much noise, too much information, too much pressure, and then that one space, the floor, where it all turns into rhythm. That’s why the X-MAS edition, the contrast between the expected warmth and what you actually hear in the sound“, the artist explained.
