Dimitri from Paris, the man who first pushed house on national radio waves and redefined the concept of sophisticated sound n the late eighties, arrives at Peti Kupe on Friday, 25 September to the new edition of Discoton.
His work spans from original releases such as the iconic album Sacrebleu to hundreds of remixes for names ranging from James Brown to Björk. Without a pre-prepared list, Dimitri to Zagreb brings an unpredictable, organic set with forgotten pearls of 70’s funk, early disco and refined of house that he arranges at the moment, depending on the pulse of the dance floor.
He is accompanied by the Berlin sound archeologist Delfonic, long-time mastermind of the store OYE Records. With the technique of a hip-hop veteran and an ear for a relaxed, infectious groove, Delfonic blends underground disco, afro-beat and jazz-edit with raw American house.
The local host title is booked for Pytzek, a DJ with more than a quarter of a century of experience. The founder of the label Burek, Barba and Pomalo! brings an effortless mix of dub, disco, house and techno that keeps the dance floor in constant motion.
