This summer, Surf is arriving – a new festival on the Adriatic, more precisely on the island of Krk, in the town of Punat. The festival will last four days, from June 25 to June 28 this year.
The festival will take place on Medane Beach, the location of the well-known Velvet, which had its final edition last summer.
It is conceived as an integration of contemporary music, time spent in nature, and outdoor activities, as well as programs open to the local community, visitors of Punat, and guests of the island of Krk. Surf is a platform for cultural production, international collaboration, and the activation of local space, all brought together into a unique and coherent whole.
The festival is organized by the Belgrade-based Kišobran collective, and its goal is not to create a massive gathering, but rather a more intimate atmosphere that, in addition to music, places strong emphasis on being in nature and on food, which will be curated by the Piknik stage.
The lineup announced so far features exciting underground names such as DJ Python, Bradley Zero, Tijana T, and Leon Vynehall. There are also artists from the rap, jazz, and rock scenes, so there is something for everyone.
The daytime program includes the Piknik stage with local gastronomy, boat parties in the hidden coves of Krk, as well as listening sessions and panel discussions. The evening program moves to Medane Beach, with a strong focus on top-quality audiovisual production. The festival aims to be an organic part of the local context, not an imposed spectacle.
Tickets for the festival are available via CoreEvents, still at the Super Early Bird price of just €68 for the entire festival.
