Zagreb’s nightlife scene is set for a notable shift this weekend, March 28, with the opening of two new venues that reflect different directions in club culture: Vogue Club and The Hall.
Two openings, two approaches
Vogue Club enters the market with a concept influenced by destinations like Scorpios Mykonos, positioning itself closer to a lifestyle venue than a conventional nightclub. Reporting from Jutarnji list describes the project as combining electronic music with a more relaxed, “techno and chill” atmosphere. The emphasis appears to be on curated ambiance and social experience, rather than high-intensity programming alone.
This reflects a broader trend seen across European nightlife, where venues increasingly blend elements of hospitality, design, and music into a single offering.
In contrast, The Hall opens with a more traditional large-scale club format. Its launch event features Fedde Le Grand, indicating a focus on recognizable international acts and high-capacity events. As Filip Sulic explained in our recent interview, the venue is designed as a multifunctional space, intended to host a range of mainstream electronic music events and larger productions.
Diverse local offer, clearer positioning
Taken together, the two openings point to a diversification of Zagreb’s club scene. Rather than competing directly, the venues represent parallel models: one oriented toward atmosphere and lifestyle positioning, the other toward scale and event-driven programming.
Whether either approach proves sustainable will depend less on opening weekend attention and more on consistency in programming and audience response. Still, the timing of both launches suggests growing confidence in the city’s capacity to support different segments of nightlife simultaneously.
