A true Croatian radio icon who has promoted electronic music on public service radio for 30 years, DJ MAX, has started this year with the Guinness World Record for “The most hosts in a radio talk show relay”, celebrating 100 years of the radio station, while Max’s award-winning radio show series “Welcome To The Club” celebrate this year 30 years of promoting club culture.
To continue the jubilee year celebration, he has announced the full lineup for his Welcome To The Club 30th Anniversary ADE Party, introducing an iconic artist from Chicago – Georgie Porgie. Renowned for his uplifting anthems of love, life, and strength, as well as his numerous Billboard Chart number-one hits spanning several decades, he rounds out the lineup for this milestone jubilee celebration. The celebration will take over Amsterdam-Noord’s iconic waterfront venue, Van de Werf (NDSM-Kade 2), from 18:00 to 02:00 and the entry is free for everyone.
“Georgie is a true legend and has been part of my radio show with his music for decades. Having him on the lineup for this 30th Anniversary party is just perfect and, at the same time, completely natural. I’m glad that he feels the same way“, said DJ MAX about his upcoming lineup headliner.
Besides Georgie Porgie, his ADE party will also host DJ BlackIcon1 from New York City, Isa Carrillo flying in from Madrid, Spain, DJ Izee, a Dutch artist who will come from Bonaire and Soleil Carrillo, who will land that Saturday afternoon from Phoenix, Arizona. This is a perfect example of what I always tell the younger generation of artists: music connects us, and music has no borders.
“This 30th Anniversary of my weekly electronic music radio show, Welcome To The Club, is something special. It’s not just about me and my career as an artist, music producer, and radio host, it goes far beyond that. When I look back, it brings back memories of interacting with the audience and connecting with all the artists I have promoted over the years. It feels surreal” he stated.
The very first episode of ‘Welcome to the Club’ aired on the Croatian NPR Channel 2 (HRT – HR2) in 1996, and its jubilee 1400th episode is also scheduled for October 24th, the exact same day as the ADE event. With the full lineup locked in, DJ MAX elevates this milestone event into a definitive celebration of electronic music history. Marking three decades of actively shaping club culture, the award-winning Welcome To The Club brand returns to the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) for its third consecutive year.
“When you start a project like this, you don’t know how long it will last. It’s not a traditional business; it’s an art form, and true art doesn’t obey commercial or industrial laws. Surreal. 1400 radio episodes, the 30th Anniversary of Welcome To The Club, and the 30th Anniversary of ADE all at once. Crazy”, he concluded about the importance of this year for his career.
