DJ GT is an established Slovenian techno DJ and producer who has been shaping the electronic music scene for over a decade. His career gained significant momentum in 2009 when he won a prestigious competition at the iconic Ambasada Gavioli, establishing him as one of the most promising DJs in the region.
Since then, he has become a regular fixture on both the domestic club and festival circuit and the international stage. His performances are defined by energetic techno sets, rich with deep basslines, tense build-ups, and explosive peaks that guarantee an electric atmosphere on the dance floor.
As a producer, he has collaborated with respected labels such as Reload Records, Autektone, and Redlof Records, with his EPs frequently appearing in Beatport’s Top 10 charts. In late 2024, he reached a new milestone by performing at HardBeats—Slovenia’s largest techno festival—where he shared the stage with the world-renowned Amelie Lens, further cementing his growing recognition within the global techno scene.
Listen to his signature techno sound in the latest INSITE guestmix showcase:
INSITE: If you could have a drink with any DJ/producer, who would it be?
DJ GT: It would definitely be Richie Hawtin. Having been in the scene for over two decades, I’ve always deeply respected his approach to techno. He is a true master of minimalism, hypnotic grooves, and pushing technological boundaries in production and DJing. I’d love to sit down with him, share a drink, and talk about the evolution of underground soundand how to keep techno’s hypnotic essencealive after all these years.
