Midsummer Night’s traditionally featured rituals to promote fertility and marital happiness. Inspired by this, Shakespeare wrote A Midsummer Night’s Dream, intended for performance at weddings and celebrations, catering to a light-hearted audience. Planet Srijeda (Planet Wednesday) dreams of a Midsummer Night, closing an exhilarating season with a reminder of its highlights. Welcoming the onset of summer, it will hold its celebratory event a week later, on June 28, at Villa Werner in Zagreb’s Tuškanac, featuring a prolific musical lineup. This includes Doxia, Felver, illillillillill, Kendal, Melanie Havens, and Mufti.
Tuškanac will welcome Kendal, a member of the Italo-body duo Infravision with Pablo Bozzi, a previous guest of Planet Srijeda. Known for timeless productions and DJ performances, this French artist brings euphoria and nostalgia to the dance floor, blending Italo-disco with EDM, trance, and synth-wave.
The multi-talented Melanie Havens will again prove her status as one of the freshest names on the scene. Whether in Berlin where she resides, her native São Paulo, or recently at Zagreb’s Željezničar, she flawlessly delivers her vibrant fusion of genres such as body music, wave, Italo, techno, electro and post-punk. Returning alongside Melanie is the beloved Mufti, a Mexican artist ready for any dance floor. He left his career as an architect to fully dedicate himself to crafting musical gems ranging from Italo to new wave, which he now presents on numerous global stages.
Representing the region is illillillillill, an invincible romantic and frequenter of Belgrade’s dance floors. This professional in the culture and entertainment industry, a conscious member of society and vocal advocate for justice describes himself not as a DJ but as someone who ecstatically breaks sound in front of and behind the booth.
Felver will add a touch of enchantment, an essential element of every memorable party. Always bringing energy and freshness, the founder of Planet Srijeda will direct this summer night, promising an event not to be missed.
