Following the success of his tour last December, Croatian DJ and producer Jan Kincl is set to make a return to South Africa for three weeks this August.
In his interview with us back in June, Kincl described his last tour and experience by saying: “That country lives and breathes deep house; the people are beautiful, the DJs are amazing, and it’s a completely different experience than a typical European party.“
Kincl shared a heartfelt message on his social media to his South African and Basotho fans, announcing, “My dear South African and Basotho friends, I’m coming back in August to play several shows in your area. I’ll be in the country from August 6th to 23rd, and so far we confirmed Pretoria, Secunda, Cape Town, Thabong and Melville, Johannesburg, with a few more places still open.”
Jan also shared his excitement with us, stating, “South Africa is huge; on my first tour, I wasn’t able to play at some of the places we initially discussed. Cape Town is a primary example. August marks the end of winter in the southern hemisphere, and the scene is vibrant in a different way compared to December, which is the peak of summer. So, we decided to do another three-week tour to play at different parties than the first time and work with some new promoters. Additionally, the second half of August is the beginning of spring, with everything blooming around you, so I’m going to Kruger Park to disappear for 3-4 days.“
Famous by his deep house and jazzy tracks, Jan continues to gain popularity among South-African audience, who’s electronic music scene, according to the last IMS report, has nearly twice as many Electronic listeners as people.
