KHAOS in Funk! is an innovative program created in collaboration between Khaos Collective and Funk Club, designed to provide a unique platform for young artists to showcase their work. The program offers young artists the opportunity to host their own exhibitions in the dynamic environment of Funk Club, located in the center of the city. Each exhibition lasts for one month, with the displays taking place on the first floor of Funk Club.
The opening of each exhibition is a monthly event held every first Wednesday at 8:00 PM. All works displayed in the KHAOS in Funk! exhibitions are available for purchase, and the entire proceeds from the sales go directly to the artists.
SVE OSIM KISTA / EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE BRUSH by Lea Ješovnik
The current exhibition in the KHAOS in Funk! program opened on November 6th and will run until November 27th. Titled Sve osim kista (Everything Except the Brush), this exhibition features a collection of works created by Lea Ješovnik during her fourth year at the Academy of Fine Arts (ALU). The exhibition brings together pieces from three distinct cycles, unified by the shared technique of non-traditional painting.
Lea’s works explore the concept of leaving a trace, starting with an experimental approach to painting that avoids the use of a traditional brush. Instead, she uses objects from her immediate surroundings, applying color to them and pressing them onto canvas. This process, which emerged during her diploma studies, allows Lea to create spontaneous and abstract compositions without pre-determined sketches or plans.
