We Move Music – Croatia reports on the outcome of the second season of the AJMO! project competition. An independent commission has selected 15 organizers who will each receive €10,000 in co-financing, with their concert programs scheduled to take place between October 1, 2025, and March 1, 2026.
The AJMO! project, jointly run by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Music Export Office Croatia, has already proven to be an important tool in developing balanced concert activity and strengthening local cultural infrastructure. After this year’s public call, which received 42 applications from organizers (three more than last year) and 370 applications from performers, it is clear that interest from the music sector in this model of support continues to grow.
List of selected organizers A–Z:
- Art radionica Lazareti, Dubrovnik
- Artevista – Association for Culture and Arts, Sisak
- Center for Urban Culture Regenerator, Zabok
- Center for Culture and Education Pazin, Pazin
- Youth Center Čakovec, Čakovec
- Gallery of Fine Arts of the City of Slavonski Brod, Slavonski Brod
- K.V.A.R.K. – Creative Connector of Alternative Cultural Development, Križevci
- KUM 2 – Korčula Youth Association 2, Korčula

- Sinj Cultural Urban Movement, Sinj
- Association “Sunčani put,” Kutina

What is particularly interesting about this project is its focus on implementing programs in smaller towns across Croatia. The strong response to the competition highlights a growing demand for more cultural content outside of major cities such as Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, and Osijek.
This initiative represents a step towards a sustainable and participatory cultural model, making local music accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live.
