An app designed for young DJs who want to practice their beat-matching skills was just launched. The app is free and described as a “game and training tool for DJs.”, It is designed as a tool to let people train their beat-matching ability without the need to invest in expensive equipment.

Beatmatch PRO, also described as “Wordle for DJs“, challenges users daily by giving them the same two tracks which they then have to match the tempos of as best as they can. The users compete for the top position on the leaderboard and the tracks are reset at midnight. There are other modes available, such as Practice, which allows users to shuffle the songs in a jukebox and then, by using tags, it filters the song pool to their desired interests. Another mode is Performance, with this one users can use their mobile phones as their deck/CDJ and play their own songs from their phones or from their Bandcamp profile.
“I’m looking to keep the game free, fun and ever-changing,” shared the developer of the app, Thomas Geoffrey Hobbs, via the app’s offcial page.
Beatmatch PRO is available for free on the App store and Google play.
