The 12th edition of Croatia’s largest design event, Zagreb Design Week, has announced its open call for participation. Projects selected will be showcased during the festival, and works can also be submitted for six categories under the ZGDW Award, where three best entries in each category will be selected and awarded by a jury of five international experts.
This year’s theme is “Various Realities”, emphasizing the complexities of global challenges and the crucial role designers play in examining and questioning these shared realities.
New this year, the festival will last two weeks: the first week will be held at Jadran Film Studios, while the second week will take place at various locations in downtown Zagreb.
Submissions to participate and present work at this year’s Design Week are open to anyone involved in any form of design until June 16. The six categories competing for the ZGDW Award are:
- Graphic Design
- Digital Communication Design and Interaction Design
- Product Design

- Textile and Fashion Design
- Social Innovation Design
