Less than a month away from the Lollipop’s biggest event so far. The Black Eyed Peas, one of the most successful bands of the modern music era, will arrive on the Bundek lake on June 26th. Zagreb will be the only city in the region to host the legendary American band during their major European tour, which includes 14 concerts in 13 countries. On the occasion of the upcoming spectacle, an official presentation of the event was held at the Zonar Zagreb hotel, where the organizers revealed new details of the program and production that will transform the Bundek into a large open-air festival zone.
“The Black Eyed Peas marked an era of modern pop and dance music. They are a band that successfully combined hip-hop, electronica and pop and created hits that have marked generations. The era of the Elephunk album and the arrival of Fergie in the band marked their global rise. It was then, one could say, that they experienced a real explosion of popularity and became world-renowned. Later, global hits such as I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow followed, which are still relevant today, and the performance at the Super Bowl further solidified their status as one of the greatest bands of their time. Will.i.am himself, as a production visionary, was always one step ahead of others and created a recognizable identity and musical expression for the band, which we will soon have the opportunity to hear live in Zagreb!“, said the radio host and DJ Daniel Turk.

Matej Franc pointed out that the arrival of the Black Eyed Peas was the result of the long-term development of the Lollipop brand: “After we organized Sean Paul’s concert last year at Jarun, it somehow made sense to continue with concerts and live performances. The Black Eyed Peas were very high on our list of priorities and it happened that they were on a European tour in the period when we were looking for a performer. It is also confirmation that Lollipop is not just a party brand, but much, much more than that”.
In addition to the performance by the Black Eyed Peas, the audience at Bundek can also expect a performance by Baby Lasagna, one of the most popular domestic performers, as well as numerous domestic DJs. The organizers announce a full-day program, a large chill zone, a rich gastronomic offer, cocktails and a series of interactive content that will further complement the festival experience.
“The doors open at 5 pm, while tickets can be purchased via the Entrio system. Organizing such an open-air spectacle is demanding, but we are ready for anything. I think we have learned a lot since last year and that we will create a great spectacle and experience for all our visitors,” concluded one of the organisers, Ivan Budor.
