The premiere edition of the Ski Beat Festival brought a completely new experience to Nassfeld and presented Croatia as a country that successfully creates winter music events beyond its borders.

At an altitude of 1,919 meters, in one of Austria’s most famous ski resorts, Croatian brands BSH and Lollipop realized a festival project in the Alps for the first time, opening the door to a new form of winter tourism and entertainment. More than a thousand visitors from Croatia, the region, Austria and other European countries enjoyed a concept that combines skiing, top tier electronic music and the energy of young winter lifestyle enthusiasts over the final three days.

The organizers emphasize that already in its first year they recognized the potential and the audience’s desire for this type of event. “The Ski Beat Festival went by in a great atmosphere, the energy was fantastic. All guests are accounted for and in one piece, which is the most important thing. Thanks to everyone who was part of the first Ski Beat Festival and the countdown to the next one begins now. See you in 361 days!” said Beat Travel, BSH and Lollipop. The Alpine setting and excellent conditions created the perfect backdrop for a festival that, judging by first reactions, could become a tradition.

The festival’s main musical focus was an exceptionally strong lineup. The headliners of Ski Beat Festival were Fiona Kraft and Marko Nastić, who led a group of regionally and internationally recognized artists. They were joined by Elena Mikac, El Maar, Gotz, Felippe, Kylianno, Looka, Mony and Pablo Panda, forming a program that unified different styles and the energy of the entire region.

After his performance, Marko Nastić pointed out that Ski Beat Festival brings exactly what the winter season was missing. “It is my first time playing here and I have to say this is a major step forward for the regional club scene. Organizing parties in Austria under the direction of regional brands is a fantastic thing. The vibe is great and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!” said Nastić, clearly delighted with the organization and the crowd.
One of the most attractive features of the festival was the party gondola in which a DJ plays music during the ascent to the top of the ski area. Guests patiently waited for their ride, as the gondola quickly became a symbol of good vibes and a unique experience rarely seen in ski resorts. Ski Beat Festival attracted visitors from all over Croatia, as well as guests from neighboring countries and Austria, all of whom enthusiastically embraced the new concept.

One of Croatia’s most sought after DJs, Elena Mikac, even celebrated her birthday in the party gondola. The atmosphere was so good that stories of the best birthday ever spread at lightning speed. “I am glad that two strong Croatian music brands decided on such a bold step. It is wonderful to take part in the premiere of a festival that I believe will become a tradition. It is beautiful to combine sport, recreation and the music I love!” said Elena Mikac.

The premiere edition of Ski Beat Festival showed that Croatian organizers can compete on the international stage and that the audience wants this blend of snow, sun, music and sport. Reactions from visitors, DJs and hosts confirm that Ski Beat Festival has started strong and that Nassfeld could become the new winter gathering point for the regional audience. The festival has opened the door to a new tradition.
