On March 21st, Boogaloo Club will host a true pioneer of the house genre: David Morales. Bringing the iconic New York vibe to Zagreb, this Grammy-winning DJ, producer, and global legend has left an indelible mark on dance floors worldwide with his remixes, productions, and boundary-breaking sets that connect generations.

David Morales’ story began in New York, in legendary clubs like Paradise Garage and Red Zone, where dance floors were hubs of creativity and defiance against the mainstream. Inspired by the atmosphere of David Mancuso’s Loft – private parties that shaped New York’s underground dance scene in the 1970s, Morales quickly became a key figure in the city’s club circuit.
His career skyrocketed in the 1990s, when he produced and remixed hits for stars like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Jamiroquai. His track Needin’ U became a global anthem, and his 1999 Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year cemented his status as a legend.
“What drives me is always the love of music and the connection with people. There’s no better feeling than connecting with an audience through a song,” Morales said in an interview, revealing the simple yet profound inspiration behind his extraordinary career.
David Morales continues to be an innovator. His label, DIRIDIM Records, showcases emerging talent, while his recent projects, such as the album Life Is a Song (2022) and Sunday Mass Vol. 1 (2024), demonstrate his relentless creativity. During the pandemic, he launched the livestream series Sunday Mass, which evolved into popular club and boat parties in New York, showcasing his adaptability and reinvention.

Through his sets, Morales takes audiences on a journey through the history of house music, blending soulful vocals, infectious rhythms, and moments of pure magic to create unforgettable experiences. His return to Zagreb is more than just another performance – it’s a celebration of house culture and the legacy that unites us on the dance floor.
Tickets for this event are available through the Entrio system.
