The winners of the 2026 Grammy Awards were announced last Saturday, February 1. Most of the attention was on Bad Bunny’s victory in the Album of the Year category, while three Grammys were awarded for electronic dance music.
The win in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category went to the Australian group Tame Impala for their song End Of Summer, which they released at the end of July 2025. They took home the coveted Grammy trophy in a category that also included nominees Skrillex with VOLTAGE, Disclosure & Anderson .Paak with No Cap, Fred again.., Skepta & PlaqueBoyMax collaborating on Victory Lap, and KAYTRANADA with SPACE INVADER.
FKA twigs won in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category with EUSEXUA, released in January of last year. The competition in this category was strong, with nominees including PinkPantheress with Fancy That, Fred again.. with Ten Days, RÜFÜS DU SOL with Inhale / Exhale, and Skrillex with F** U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3*.
In the Best Remixed Recording category, the winner was French artist Gesaffelstein for his remix of Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra. Other nominees included Chris Lake for his remix of Galvanize by The Chemical Brothers & Chris Lake, KAYTRANADA for his version of Don’t Forget About Us by Mariah Carey, Ron Trent for A Dreams A Dream – Ron Trent Remix, and David Guetta, who remixed Golden by HUNTR/X featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI.
A very interesting selection of winners and nominees, and we hope that in the future, the electronic music genre will occupy even more categories at the Grammys.
