A slightly different and more laid-back guestmix than what you’re used to hearing from us — prepared for INSITE by Lukeni, a DJ and producer born and based on the island of Pag.
His first encounter with electronic music was around 2010, when he began frequenting Zrće Beach, one of Croatia’s summer hotspots for partying.
Lukeni plays his sets on vinyl, a practice he started in 2015, and he is most often heard in residencies on Pag island. Besides Pag, he has also played gigs in Zadar, and lately, you can find him performing in clubs around Zagreb.
His style blends elements of funk, jazz, afro, and tribal influences, which he combines in a variety of creative ways. You can hear how it all comes together in his INSITE guestmix — available now on our YouTube and SoundCloud:
