The 11th edition of the popular event series Hush! is happening this Friday, November 15th, at Peti Kupe in Zagreb. This time, the lineup is headlined by Dutch DJ and producer DJ Lobster, who has built a solid reputation through releases on renowned labels like Room Trax, Format, Warok, and Oecus. Joining him on the lineup are resident DJs Insolate and Phrasal, along with a dance performance by the famous drag duo Roxanne and Colinda Evangelista from House of Flamingo. Tickets for the event are available on Eventim.
Hush! is an event series created and conceived by Insolate, one of Croatia’s leading techno DJs and producers from Osijek. Following the last event, which featured Ukrainian DJ Nastia, Insolate is excited to welcome DJ Lobster, whose fresh and distinct sound is making waves in the techno scene. Reflecting on the upcoming party, Insolate shared her excitement:
„For the upcoming party on 15th November, I’ve invited the talented DJ Lobster from Amsterdam. He’s one of the leading fresh names in techno and a resident at the renowned Vault Sessions in Amsterdam, an established event series. He’s performed worldwide, including in New York, Berlin, and other major cities. His productions bring a unique, fresh approach to techno, and I’m thrilled to have him play in Croatia for the first time. My dear friend, brother, and Hush resident Phrasal will kick off the night, and I’ll be closing the event. As always, my queens and godmothers of the event -Roxanne and Colinda Evangelista from House of Flamingo – will be in charge of setting up the atmosphere.“
Two years ago, Insolate started Hush! as her new post-pandemic party brand, driven by the desire to create an event exactly as she envisioned it – from the music to the design, with a focus on inclusivity and freedom of expression. She explained, “My main motivation was to create an event that I could manage entirely on my own, overseeing everything from the music to the design. My passion for music is at the heart of it, and I wanted to showcase fresh techno artists, many of whom haven’t played in Croatia before. My goal is to establish a safe and inclusive space for everyone, including the LGBTQ community. I want people to feel a true sense of freedom when they come to Hush! and to feel free to be themselves.“
She shared what we can expect from the upcoming season and reflected on how Hush! first began, “Hush! began in Osijek, where I organized three parties. After that, I hosted events in Rijeka and Sarajevo before finally settling in Zagreb at Peti Kupe. Our upcoming dates are set for March and May, and as always, I’ll be scouting for the best and freshest talent in the techno scene.“
