Fred again.. has revealed a new project that runs entirely on his own timing – ten shows, in ten cities, over ten weeks. Each Friday he releases a new track from USB002, then performs it that same night somewhere new. The location changes weekly, usually revealed only a few days before the show.
The first stop was Glasgow on October 3rd. Within hours of announcement, more than 100 000 people tried to buy tickets for a 12 000 – capacity venue. Those who were lucky, and got a chance to get it describe something far from a typical show: phones were locked away, the light were subtle, and sounds that connected everyone in the room. Dutch artist Boris Acket designed a huge moving sculpture above the crowd, turning the venue into a kind of living art.

This Friday, Fred takes the project to the capital of Belgium, Brussels, performing at Gare Maritime together with Hangar. The rest of the cities remain a mystery, but fans online are already trying to guess. On Reddit, threads have appeared with maps, flight patterns, and theories based on his past tour routes and collaborators.
This kind of speculation is not surprising. Fred has one of the most connected fan communities in electronic music – people don’t just listen to his releases but actively follow his creative process, from small studio clips to spontaneous appearances. He knows how to keep that connection genuine, even as his shows grow larger.
The first track, “you’re a star” featuring Amyl and the Sniffers, came out on September 27th. It carries the familiar emotional energy Fred is known for, but with a rougher, more driving pace – some say that this could be a sign that USB002 leans into heavier sounds while keeping his signature intimacy.
USB002 is his follow-up to last year’s USB001 – a collection of music that grows in real time, with songs added as they’re finished rather than held for a full album release. The full project comes out on December 12th. Fred’s music has always been built from fragments of real life – a voice message, a conversation, a memory – turned into something people could share. Now he is connecting his community city by city, night by night, song by song.
