A DJ who doesn’t want to be a rock star. An advocate for the integrity of the scene who emphasizes the importance of the dancers and the music, instead of focusing on the DJ. That’s DVS1, who returns to Peti Kupe on Saturday, November 8th for a joint party of the Sequences and Hush programs. He is joined by Hush residents Insolate and Phrasal for an evening full of concrete sound.

The story of Zak Khutoretsky, now known as DVS1, begins in Minneapolis, where his family emigrated from St. Petersburg. As an adolescent, he was prone to trouble, was expelled from school, and was involved in illegal activities such as organizing raves and forging documents.
It was this early rebellious spirit and deep respect for the craft that made him an integral part of the underground scene. His events have become legendary, and his record collection has grown to over 30.000 titles. Today, DVS1 is recognized worldwide, known for his powerful and energetic sets that pay homage to his roots. With his residency at Berghain, he has earned the status of one of the key figures of the techno movement.

His sound will be perfectly matched at Peti Kupe by Croatian techno icon Insolate and Phrasal, Hush’s Berlin-based stalwart. For them, this is no ordinary party, but a return to authentic club culture, an ethos built on rebellion, passion and the 90s rave scene. Tickets are available via the link.
