One of the most in-demand names in the global techno and house scene – Bulgarian DJ and techno producer Born Strahil Velchevknown, known as KiNK, is the next guest of the popular Sequences program, happening April 4th at Peti Kupe!
Known for his dynamic and spontaneous live performances, where he controls an army of analog synths and controllers in real-time, KiNK’s playful sets blend house, techno, and acid. Infused with the improvisational spirit of jazz and the raw energy of the early rave era, his performances are a spectacle.
Growing up in Sofia, far from any major club circuit, Velchev developed a deep love for dance music from a distance. In his early 20s, that passion turned into creation, as he began crafting his own sound inspired by the underground scenes of Detroit and Chicago.
Since gaining international attention around 2008, KiNK has played a seemingly endless list of clubs and festivals across the globe, remixing music by artists like Trentemøller, Nina Kraviz, and countless others. His extensive discography – released on labels such as Ovum, Rush Hour, and Running Back – ranges from techno anthems like Cloud Generator to more experimental works.
KiNK is set to deliver a live performance, joining him is Mimi – one of the longstanding parts of Zagreb’s nightlife scene, plus well-known and loved host, Antonio Zuza.
