On World Creativity Day, a new national project KREAkcija is arriving, a manifestation that on April 21, 2026, will connect schools, cities, associations, universities, museums, entrepreneurs, and creative hubs in the largest joint creative action ever organized in Croatia.
KREAkcija aims to make creativity visible, accessible, and present in every corner of Croatia, from kindergartens to universities, from small businesses to major cultural institutions.
Everyone can participate. Participation is free. There is no format. There are no limitations.
Workshops, exhibitions, performances, lectures, open studios, music, film, design, public interventions, all are welcome as long as creativity is in motion.
“We started KREAkcija to clearly show that creativity is a fundamental driver of development in culture, education, the economy, and the everyday life of our cities. Once a year, we want to bring together all of Croatia, from kindergartens to universities, from museums to creative entrepreneurs, in a shared celebration of creation. This is just the first step of a platform that will grow year by year together with cities, institutions, and people who believe in the creative future of Croatia,” said Lucija Prstec Smolčec, project manager and initiator of the manifestation.
You can apply on this form.
KREAkcija is organized in collaboration with the Association of Cities of the Republic of Croatia and the IMAGINATION association as part of the Creative Cities of Croatia project
