We’re wrapping up this year’s INSITE Guestmix series with a mix by DJ Jock, a legendary DJ from Split who is entering 2025 with the Ambassador Award for Best DJ of the Year. DJ Jock, whose real name is Stipe, has been one of the most demanding DJs in Croatia for years, as evidenced by his packed schedule throughout the year both in Croatia and abroad. You can read more about DJ Jock in an interview with INSITE marking the 15th anniversary of his career.
You may have heard DJ Jock at most major festivals in Croatia, such as Sonus Festival, Terminal V, FutureScope, Moondance, Stardust Festival, and Pachakutiq Festival. For years, he’s also been a regular at the Ultra Europe Festival in his hometown of Split. Stipe is a frequent guest at Zagreb’s Boogaloo club, where he has two major upcoming performances: on January 17th, as part of a We Love Sound event alongside Shipe and PAN-POT, and on January 31st, when he’ll perform back-to-back with Shipe as Sven Väth makes his way to Zagreb. Today, you can catch him at a New Year’s Eve party at Club Lazareti in Dubrovnik.
He doesn’t like to limit himself to specific music styles, but if he had to describe his sound, he’d say: “Mostly, it’s a mix of techno and progressive, with lots of melodies, fat beats, and rolling basslines.” He’s prepared just such a melodic and dynamic mix for our guestmix series, which you can listen to on our SoundCloud:
INSITE: If you could grad a drink with any DJ/producer who would it be?
DJ Jock: Probably that person would be Sasha and I would have like millions of questions (haha).
