This year marked the beginning of new program announcements that shape the activities of various cultural institutions. In the coming days, we will keep up with opportunities for everyone who wants to step into the creative industries or enhance their skills. Starting with this week, we highlighted two application opportunities that are due to close today:
For everyone invested in cinema, the International Documentary Film Festival ZagrebDox is calling on all directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and producers of documentary films to apply for the niche training program Slow Pitch, to be held from April 20 to 25, 2026. This five-day program combines analysis of submitted projects, recommendations, and suggestions for their further development. The attendees will present their projects to a different mentor each day, and the meetings will take place at various locations in Zagreb. Projects from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Italy, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia, which thematically deal with the region and/or projects that require a co-producer from one of these countries, have priority in the selection.

The deadline for applying to ZagrebDox Pro is by the end of the day, February 16, 2026. Participation in the ZagrebDox Pro program is free of charge and the jury will select up to 8 projects for participation. Moreover, participants coming to the workshop from abroad can apply for a ZagrebDox Pro scholarship that subsidizes accommodation costs during the workshop. Interested candidates for the workshop apply by filling out and submitting the application form via the form available at the following link: https://forms.gle/6Fi1m2ZWZaFV1xpk7
Operation City, KONTEJNER and Pogon – Zagreb Center for Independent Culture and Youth have presented a free introductory workshop in light, video, and sound production.
The workshop program is intended for individuals interested in the field of technical implementation (lighting, video and sound) of events. The goal of the workshops is to provide knowledge about technical production of sound, video or light to all participants. No previous experience is required.
Participants can only register for one of the workshops: sound workshop, video production workshop or light workshop. The workshops will be held at Pogon Jedinstvo, KONTEJNER and Pogon – Mislavova street 18, and participants will be divided into groups based on the information in the application.
