Lady Gaga is set to release her highly anticipated seventh studio album, tentatively titled “LG7,” in February 2025. This project marks a return to her dance-pop roots, with a distinctive industrial influence. In a recent interview for LA Times, Gaga revealed that the album features collaborations with French DJ and producer Gesaffelstein, known for his dark, industrial soundscapes.
“I loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music”, she said in the interview.
The lead single, “Disease,” released in October 2024, showcases this industrial dance direction, blending pulsating beats with Gaga’s powerful vocals. The track has been well-received, generating excitement among fans and critics alike.
According to People magazine, Gaga has expressed that “LG7” is a genre-blending project, stating, “It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt. And it ends with love.” This eclectic approach reflects her personal journey and artistic evolution, aiming to capture the chaos and joy of revisiting past decisions and dreams.
In addition to the album release, Gaga is slated to headline the 2025 edition of Coachella, marking her second time leading the festival after her 2017 performance. This appearance is highly anticipated, especially as she has announced that she will not be touring in 2025, focusing instead on select performances and promotional activities.
