The Moondance Festival is set to celebrate its 11th edition in Trogir this weekend, starting from today until Sunday July 28, 2024. This festival has carved out a niche for itself by combining underground techno music with the historical ambiance of Trogir’s medieval Kamerlengo Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Back 2 Basics Concept
This year’s theme, “Back 2 Basics,” emphasizes a return to longer DJ sets and deeper interaction between artists and the audience. The festival aims to create a communal atmosphere on the dance floor, countering the trend of shorter, more commercial performances.
The festival has multiple events and venues over three days:
- Main Events: The two main nights at the Kamerlengo Fortress will feature distinct musical projects, ensuring a varied experience each night.
- Pirate Boat Party: An essential part of the festival, this event offers a unique experience of techno music on the Adriatic Sea.
- Workshops and Panels: The festival includes a DJ workshop on the art of DJing and a panel discussion for promoters and DJs, fostering learning and networking within the community.
