Moondance Festival returns on July 25 – 26, 2025, bringing its 12th edition back to the stone walls of Trogir’s Kamerlengo Fortress. For over a decade, it’s been one of the rare festivals that doesn’t compromise – focused, deliberate, and firmly rooted in underground techno. No VIP hype trains or algorithm-friendly bookings – just a consistent space for artists and crowds who actually care about the music.
This year, alongside the usual lineup, there’s something new in the mix: a DJ competition with actual weight behind it. Through Moondance.Warp, a new platform dedicated to promoting local and regional techno DJs, the festival is creating opportunities for multiple emerging talents to break through and share the stage with headliners.

The DJ contest is live until May 31, and the concept is simple: record a 90-minute mix that shows pure techno, upload it to SoundCloud, and send the link to info@moondancefest.com. No pay-to-play, no industry strings – just skill and sound.
All of this fits within the festival’s continued Back 2 Basics concept – a response to the trend of short, disconnected sets. At Moondance, the goal is clear: longer sets, real flow, and genuine interaction between the DJ and the crowd. Less spectacle, more substance. That’s the point.
Regional tickets are available on Entrio, while international ones can be bought via Resident Advisor. For more information follow @moondance.warp
